The story is about Elinor and Marianne, daughters of Mr. Dashwood by his second wife. They have a younger sister, Margaret, and an older half-brother, John. When the father died, the family property passed to John. The women of the Dashwood family remained in poor condition. The story follows the lives of the Dashwood girls in their new home in a remote cabin. Where they encounter romance and heartbreak. The paradox between each sister's personality ends at the end, as they find lasting love and happiness. Through the events of the novel, Elinor and Marianne achieve a balance between logic or reason and love in life or passion.
